We just figured out an easy way to drop 30 lbs out of our Dragster! http://4xspower.com/products/ We will update with some comparison weights and pictures as soon as the Lithium battery gets here from XS Power.

Any chance you guys making the NHRDA race in Indy on June 11-12 or finals in Topeka in September? Looks like the finals are the same weekend as the Top Dragster race in Dallas.

Not trying to be the bearer of bad news but i burned up two ecms trying to get the high volt stuff to work out.

16 volt is way too much...just a FYI

Thanks for the heads up!!!! We were already planning to use a voltage reducer for the ECM and in car stuff but your feedback reinforces that we need to hook up the voltage reducer box.

For the amperage requirements you have you will need at least 2-3 voltage(50amp) reducers in line with the batteries @ 3.2 volts each

Any guess at overall vehicle weights yet so we can start plugging them into the CompD calculator?

I've wondered if a DC-DC converter would work well with a 16V system to run the 12V components. Most of the gasser electronics (ignition boxes, delay boxes, etc) have been "updated" to handle the 16V input directly, but the OEM stuff is possibly an issue. I used to work for the parent company of Hyster & Yale forklifts, and we had some reasonably priced DC-DC converters for running the lighting on 24V & higher electric forklifts. Not sure if they would work well down to 16V, but there are probably units that would.

Regards,
Michael Pliska
