Silver Bullet Series Turbo Special

The Silver Bullet Series turbos have been around for a while. They are a very good turbo, high quality and come in 3 sizes. (62, 64, 66) We have been able to lower our costs from Borg Warner and are now running a great SPECIAL on these turbos. We can deliver these turbos for 3rd gen. Dodge trucks and also 2nd gen. Dodge trucks. These Silver Bullet turbos are made from S330 frame turbos which offer a much stronger center section. The bearings are 50% wider and the whole frame is stronger in many ways. We also have the steel thrust bearings that make these turbos the strongest and most durable on the market. These turbos also come with an upgraded wastegate actuator which are adjustable from 40psi to 60?. The new MAP pricing is 1795.00. We have plenty in stock right now but they are moving out very fast. These are a very good deal and the special will run while we have a bunch to sell. We have been listening to you guys about what you would like to see. This should help you in your truck build. These are genuine Borg Warner turbos. They are NOT Chinese knockoffs like some other companies sell. Thanks, Brady 1-800-955-0476 or Industrial Injection Service, Inc. - Salt Lake City, UT

Borg Warners legal department knows all about this issue and will be dealing with it. As far as we are concerned they will take the lead.
WE do have copy rights that will be in place shortly for all of our brands and name. On a state and federal level.
Thanks, Brady

I'm trying to get a turbo (SB66) right now. I've been told I have to wait because II is waiting on parts.

Brady, Have ya'll considered a .91 A/R for the bullet? I have heard the relationship between the 73mm wheel and that housing is much more efficient and quicker spooling?

Yes we have tried that combo. There was a truck that had a .91A/R turbine housing on a SB66. We dyno'd that truck and then changed to the .80 housing we have been offering. We saw a 60hp increase with absolutely no fuel changes on the same dyno and the same afternoon. The truck had won many dyno contests. We and he already knew what it should run for hp. So when we rolled the dyno he was suprised to see less hp with the larger exhaust housing. That is why we changed it quick and hit the rollers again. We can make you anything you want if that is what you want. But we saw better hp and spoolup with the .80A/R housing. The .91A/R housing could have a advantage if you are spraying big nitrous with big fuel. I towed a big boat and a medium sized trailer but then a huge toy hauler 5th wheel trailer with a SB66 at altitude. At 2000rpm and above there is not a mountain that turbo doesn't like. I drive a 6 speed and I do drive pretty fast though. The SB 6280 is a great towing turbo with good street manners. The SB 6480 is a great turbo as well and fills the area between the two. The steel thrust we are using makes these turbos not only a great value but also a VERY durable turbo. Thanks, Brady

There have been many trucks with a Phat Shaft 71 which have made very big hp. There are two trucks down in Florida that are making very large hp with that turbo. 1350? with nitrous and close to 850-900hp on fuel. You should talk to them about how they made those hp numbers. We did supply most of what they used. They did all the tunning however. George and Gabby.

I personally think the one thing my Silver Bullet needs is a couple of 62's feeding it, that should break some parts

That would be a good idea. Need to look into that. How has your truck been been doing? Is that SB66 still working good? Sounds like it!

It's actually broke (tranny) I decided to focus on getting the 01' 12V going (both money and time) I'll fix the 98' and sell it.

Jim

I got my new SB66, I like the way you guys changed the wastgate cover!! One question though, why didn't you guys use a left and right thread on the wastgate actuator rod??

High EGT's

There are many things that effect EGT's. High EGT's can be caused by too small of intake system. Your new turbo pulls more air than what you can get through a stock or even a small upgraded intake. The compressor wheel needs free flowing air to stay charged. This also effects spoolup. Exhaust flow is another concern. You should have at the least a 4" exhaust with a free flowing muffler. Do you have an intake leak? 130hp injectors are not small when you are expecting to tow at lower rpm. If you drive faster or drop a gear then you bring the turbos efficiency up. If you are towing a Toyhauler trailer, how large is the trailer? I tow a Toyhauler trailer and it's much heavier than 12k that you have refered to. Another issue with your 24 valve is that you can't advance the timing when you add fuel. More timing would help. A camshaft change would do wonders for your overall performance. I have towed with a SB66 for years. If you keep the rpm's up over 2000, you will get very good results. If you like towing slow then yes we can install a 12cm housing for you. You shouldn't need to but we can do it. Thanks, Brady

alright bud..thanks.

i have a bd intake horn and a large oled type filter. no intake leaks..i check them with the boost leak detector i built. i also have a 4''downpipe with a straight thru donaldson about 5 ft long.
yeah im good if i kick the od off. once the rpms go up its good. so i guess im gonna live ith it cuz i like the way it runs when its empty. and i tow a heavy dump trlr ith it also ..grossin bout 25 k....it works good for that so im gonna just deal with it....

thanks brady
