Here are a few pics of my new weight bar I just built for the 3.0 truck. 1200 pounds empty with a 25 gallon water tank in the center

Looks good. Why did you put the water tank in the middle? I just built one and I out the water tank all the way to the passengers side.

Very nice.
Side note what is the second hole in the hood for?

I put it in the middle so I could get enough water for my a/w and my pumps go under the water tank between the arms so they can't be seen. The box is heavy enough that I don't need much movable weight. If you notice in the one picture I used the rest of the sheet of 1 1/4 to make my weights that will fit in the ends. Trying to keep the box balanced. There is about 400 pounds of move able weight before adding the water and ice

This hood has been around for many years and been on a couple different trucks. I had a intake that use to stick out of the hood on my first truck and I just never had it welded shut

Makes sence, I built mine out of 1/4" plate so I will have around 1,000 pounds of moveable weight. I wasn't questioning your methods, just one guy wondering.

No problem. I had one like that before that held JD suit case weight. Box weigh 400 pounds and there was 11 weights 100 pounds each in it but I would have to pull all the weight to remove it from the truck. This way everything can come as one

Thanks. the pipes fully support it underneath and the hitch is for a pull off point and ill make a jack leg that goes in there to support it when parked or hauling so it doesn't bounce. The IC will be right in the center with fuel tank on the back. Just need to find a good way to make lids for it. Thinking of mounting my batteries between the support tubes also.
Best part is I have $0 in it, metal was free from work as well as a shop with big welders, plasma and an overhead crane to position it.

Didn't weight it but probably around 350-400lbs. It's all 1/4" plate steel.

Here is the weight box all finished up and on the truck. Didn't turn out too bad. Will do a few things different the next time around.
