One of my favorite setups was the 62/71/.8 over S475 twins with DonM's Mach 4's, 18 deg of timing. It made 611 at the tires and was nearly impossible to get it over 1100 deg with the 6 speed.

That's be about perfect I'd say! What do those injectors spec out at?

He also just sent me a link to an industrial injection add, 12v race motor for $15500, told him if he's going crate motor, take the donor to D&J and have them do it, no shipping, just a 40 min drive.

I wouldn't trust either place.

Really? Thought everyone had been pleased with D&J precision? There are other diesel shops in the area, I told him enterprise engine is probably an option as well.

Remember, Ron is more observant with one eye covered than most are with both eyes and a magnifying glass. As most skilled machinist are.

Yeah, I mean I'm sure there's someone that's less than pleased, I just haven't seen it. So by all means point out any and all better options.

3 kinds of shops I've experienced:
1) Always do good work.
2) Never do good work.
3) Do good work when they need to.

Number 1 is hard to find. Number 2 is easy to find. Number 3 is the worst of the 3 and will cost the most money with the most headaches and poorest results.
