'99-'03 Selectable Chips

I'm gonna buy either a '02 F350 Ex-Cab 7.3l 6spd or a '03 F250 Ex-Cab 7.3l Auto within the next week, and I want a selectable chip, whats the better chip to get TS or DP Tuner? Or another? I know if I chip an Auto I better Upgrade the guts or i'll have problems.. Suggestions

DP by far over a TS chip. But Tony Wildman has awsome tunes as well. I couldnt have been happier with my DPs tunes though.

No way. Ive seen the comparison in a truck. And the same truck, same setup went from a 16.0 to a 15.4 with just a switch to a DP tune from Jody. Nothing compairs to a custom tune. My Edge Juice and Bully Dog was the same as the TS. Those are off the shelf.

I have run a TS and DP and the DP tuner is far BETTER. I would do a BTS or JW valve body if you buy the auto.

If your looking at the DP look at their new F6 chip the info is on their web site. I think I may be upgrading soon.

Wow! Thats great.

My "off the shelf" tune from TS had me running 15.1 in the 1/4 that was before I installed stage1 injectors.

Neither chip should be put down. They are both good chips. However DP Tuner is a better chip than the TS just due to the fact that Jody will custom tune your chip to your mods. I definitely wouldn't compare the TS to the Edge Juice or Bullydog at all. That is a big slap in the face towards TS. If you want a good starting chip TS is the way to go, but if your looking for high HP eventually and not wanting to buy a new chip later on I would definitely say go with DP, they have some awesome tunes and Jody can do alot for you even with just an intake and exhaust. I felt like when I installed my chip from DP the 80 hp setting kept up with if not ran circles around the TS 140 hp setting, and another note your truck will most likely have PMRs and if you let Jody know that then he will make you tunes that wont over stress them. Just my though.

That definitely seems like the thing to do. There will be a lot of advantages to that.

I in no way was comparing the quality of TS to bully dog or edge. Im just saying that it ran no faster with the TS as the Bully Dog or the Edge. Guess i should have worded that alittle better. Quarter mile times were in the same range. Just the way to the end was changing alittle. TS had more out of the hole. The others pulled down the track. But nothing compaired to the DP. And like you said. My 80 Tow tune was more than any of the highest HP tunes on the others.
