I spoke with Greg last night about a cam and my current build. I am not worried about the cam or other reccomendations he gave me.

no problem , I've been working with Dan Clark on quite a few 2.6 pullers and we are making good power and turning more useful RPM with a CR and Dan's Duramax is turning crazy RPM's and we are still waiting on the Billet Duramax.
Dan will be tuning my dragster starting at the NHRA div 4 events in Houston
I would recomend a 1.95 intake rocket and 1.75 exhaust on yours with a .325 lobe
he is the latest

The ratio is everything. I would run 1.90 to 2.10 to 1 ratio on 12 valves.
The current 12 valve heads like big lift. And this is only measured on a pressurized flow bench.
he does his own billet rods heads and fab
here is their face book page
any some of you wonder why the people with any real know how will not post.
Iworking on his cam now

This is CompDiesel, not CompAlcohol. No really though, everything on his page is alcohol.

The long block is virtually the same whether it’s a diesel of super stock alcohol. The cam profiles are very similar, or should be and the billet heads are but a few digital codes away from a diesel. You are looking at a guy that has the ability to spin up a billet head and has done so already on several different engine platforms.
And I’ll make this statement once again, Gas, diesel, Alcohol the basic engine platform only wants air flow. The best engines simply want more air , if you say anything other , like stock heads and stock cam will work better you open your self as a laughing stock to anyone that truly understands high performance engine development.
most of these people are not going to post on forums like there where anyne with a keyboard is a expert because they is what everyother keyboard racer says .

still curious why someone spends the time making a narrow lobe when most are running an 1.5' tappet? Is there a reason why you dont add a little surface area?

I've never lost a billet cam lobe, so why change. Plus the cam is slightly offset and causes the lifter to rotate; instead of putting tapper in the lobe. There are a lot of people that do things to sell the sizzle, and not the steak. If it’s not broken then why fix it.

Are factory rocker shafts (often old and worn out) of good enough surface finish and hardness to support the needle bearing trunions?

Why is it that almost everyone of your posts turns into a sales pitch, or to speak up about yourself?
