I have decided that the motor is comin out of the old girl. Im startin saturday night. I will be foto documentin the whole thing.
The head is gettin orings, 3 angel valve job, arp 425, p&p.
Pump is gettin gone thru, 600cc.
All new gaskets, bearins, billet freeze plugs, 24v tappets, 60# springs, arp rod bolts, cam, 63/68/14, water/meth, traction bars.

I will try to keep yall updated.

Got the head off. No contact between valves/pistons. Head was .07 outta true. Got front end off. Pump is comin off tonight. Its comin along. Ill post pics this weekend.

I had a guy show up looking for a job so i took him out into the shop and showed him what I was looking for in a machine operator position. He looked at the contol panel and points to the manual pulse generator selector switch and says, .0001, .001, .01, they all look the same to me. Made the hair on the back of my neck stand up thinking about the havoc that could cause.
 
Must have been a carpenter. My head took a .015 cut to get it flat and it still had some stain in the metal. One thing about it a .07 cut would unshroud the valves some.
