I bought a 1984 chevy s-10 with a factory diesel. Just wondering if anyone else around had one?

I have an 85 S-10 with a 1.9 gas engine that will get 30mpg in town with a non O/D manual tranny. I can only imagine the fuel efficiency of that beast.

Its a 2.2 Isuzu diesel, 4 spd. It is not that slow, it is faster then a ranger with a diesel.

Where did you find one? We had one at a golf course I use to work at back in high school. I couldn't belive the mileage it got.

I bought it at an auction for 175 dollars. It had been wrecked and had 2.8 emblems on it.

That sounds like me--stock programmed PSD, ZF-6 tranny, basic intake/exh = 1/4 mile time that's best measured with a calendar.
