Setting a spring wastegate

Maybe a dumb question - I am going to use my current single as my secondary on my compound setup. If I install my spring gate now and get it set to an initial desired opening PSI, will it operate the same once on the compound setup? I don't have two boost gauges and want to eliminate as much guess work in tuning the compounds as I am able. It would at least give me a frame of reference for adjustments. Thanks.

From what I've done yes it will work that way. I unhooked the air tubing between the two to set the ones I've done.
