What the #$%^*!@

Remember last week I posted on TDG about a check engine light and making 50 psi on my Isspro Gauge

http://*************************/for...ad.php?t=14653

Last week when the light first came on I reloaded my tune and cleared the computer, the next day the light was back.
Well this past sat I took off the Airaid and removed the SCT. I have since put over 100 miles on the truck but the check engine light has not come back on. I am still making 40 psi without a tune so I think I have a problem but the light has not come back on. How long shoud it take for the light to come back on? How much boost do I need to make before the light will come on?
I was going to drive it stock for a few weeks then go to the dealer but if I dont have a check engine light is it safe to assume there is no code ? How do I approach my dealer about a boost problem if there is no code for them to go on?

Hey Nummit,
back before my sct I unplugged my egr and for 3k miles never had a cel but there was two codes there the whole time...so it might be worthwild to stop by autozone and check for them just don't clear them....If it is making 40psi at anything less then wot and you can reproduce it at will I would think a tech would consider that diagnostic.....

It will make 40 psi at wot but in the past 30-34 psi was the max.
I will put out 30+ at 1/2 throttle and 50 + with a tune.
The good thing is I have not lost any coolant, even at 50 psi

Hey Pete,

I talked to DJ and he says it does sound like the vanes.

He says to go to the dealer and talk to the tech. Tell him that the light has gone on and that you have seen up to 50 psi. That you are concerned because the truck has never done that.

I also want to say that I think Pete lives in one of the most beautiful places in the US (Maine) and would love to visit sometime. That was me. Not DJ

Thanks,
Vivian

Thanks for the advice,
I am going to the dealer soon. I had a concern because the light has not come back on since I removed the tune, Airaid, and reinstalled the cat. If there is no code I am afraid the tech will say there is nothing we can do.
I have heard that line before with a gasser I once owned
