47RE converter problem

I just pulled the transmission out to start a rebuild and I can not get the torque converter out of the housing. I have a triple disk in there now and I do not remember having any issue when I put it in a few years ago.

The reason I am rebuilding is I beileve the belleville spring broke, it caused the rear clutch to lock engaged (forward movement in all gears)

I was locked up in overdrive when the transmission went out.

Any help??

Rig up a flat plate to go across bellhousing area. Make holes in the plate that line up with 2 of the torque converter holes. Use bolts to pull torque converter up and out of trans. U can just shim the plate away from bellhousing as torque converter starts to move forward.
