Nv4500 inputs

Can anyone tell me the difference in these two 1 ³/⁸ inputs. The new one was sold as Forged from SAE8620 steel* and was 100 bucks for just the input. The used one was sold as new for 700 as a billet input kit with reatainer and bearings. Markings are near identical.

From past purchases of nv4500 stuff the K means korean. But reading certain adds on ebay someone with the valair billet inputs says made in usa from 4340 steel. But find it hard to beleive.
 
We use to have them made here, The cost kept going up and up. both of those pictured are Korean made shafts. With that said I haven't seen but maybe 1 of those break out of thousands we have sold so we quit offering the USA billet one. We never sold a Korean shaft for a USA one, ever.
