I haven’t been on here in a long time, just digging up old posts.

Y’all are pretty close to why you need.

All the RPMs in the world. I quit breaking transmission gears and shafts when I kept it above 3500rpms down the whole track.

NV4500. Don’t even bother putting 5th in the transmission, you will never use it. Also you want the long throw old style **** top. It’s all metal, won’t break as easily and leverage is your friend. And you should be tall with long arms and some upper body strength to throw the shifter. I ripped the threads out of the T handle that I had on my truck and had to JB weld it back on.

Center rear output transfer case from SCS. Stack it in a deep overdrive. You want 2nd to almost equal 3rd gearing.

3.55 gears

Crower multidisk non-weighted Clutch. It doesn’t need to disengage completely to shift. I ran my fastest time on a junk clutch that wouldn’t release. It would pull the truck around with the pedal on the floor.

You need an old trans that has been beat on hard. My old one would go into gear sitting at idle if you slammed it hard without clutching and spin tires on gravel.

Big turbos because low end torque is the devil. And some spray to get it to light.

Launch at 4000 rpms in 2nd and hold on. Hard shift to 3rd and the to 4th at mid track.

You trailered it to the track right? Drive like you hate the owner.

Also, an in cab intercooler is a bad idea. Just don’t.

And custom 9” front and rear and a massive diet to lighten everything else as well.

I know Ryan Pini went mental with his ZF6 4x4 regular cab since this thread....went 10.60s I think? 2nd thru whatever gear it traps in lol. He was super light though, around 900rwhp and 6000lb with driver I think.

I know he dropped about 1000 lb and added 300-500hp but I think he's had trouble since then. Glad to see ya back Jeff.....

According to Pini's IG he has given up on the ZF6 and has gone to an auto... I think a 400 actually.

The other red reg cab ZF6 dmax truck that Pini went back & forth with who was quickest and fastest... he's just about back together and hopes to knock some tenths off his PB times and speeds. Well into the 10s.
