Hey guys I am on a tight budget and dont have the cash to buy a snap on timing kit... can someone point me in the right direction onwhich one to get and where to get it.... thanks

Print out a degree wheel from the Internet and tape it to a piece of cardboard.
 
Spill port time it. Cost nothing if you have regulated air and a set of dial calipers. It's also the most accurate way to time

I am a dumbass I watched vid on youtube and still done fully understand that method
 
I don't have one. I will look around though. This guessing with the dampner is going to get me in trouble one of these days.
