Red Security Light staying on

Hey guys,

Yesterday I hopped in my truck to head home and the red security light dinged at me and came on solid.
I read quick that pulling the batteries would fix it. I pulled them, touched terminals together, left it a while, and hooked it back up. No change at all.

It's not leaving me stranded, and I have no codes I can pull with my MiniMaxx.

Anyone have any idea's what's causing that light to come on or how to fix it?

Mine came on about a yr ago. It started after my batteries had went bad and had to jump start it, has been blinking ever since.

Well that's a bummer. So it hasn't gone away?
I might have to pull the cluster and 'disable' that light if that's the case.

I looked it up back then, and everything came back to taking it to a dealer to be reflashed. No way that's happening. Doesnt seem to be causing any other problems, doesn't really bother me enough to worry about it. If you figure out a cure, please post it up.

I do have some sort of recall I got paper on. I wonder if they could flash it for me while it's there, free of charge.

Any ideas on if it'd wipe out my tune or anything?
