By the way, naming a general budget amount would greatly help us steer you towards what you definitely need and things that simply would be helpful yet not required. A lot of us have done considerable ground work for parts and prices and we don't mind sharing our trials and errors.

Good u-joints
Governor springs
Valve springs
Injectors
DV

Good stuff:
S464
Balanced pump
Bowl, throat and port matching P&P (leave intake shelf on)
Pack on weight

Working with Dan from Valiar on a clutch, trying to decide if I need the sintered iron plate or if just the ceramic is sufficient... thoughts?
U joints will be upgraded, 4k springs and 60lb springs for now... waiting on Weston for injectors and dv, thinking 5x.018 and full cuts

The turbo dilemma is exactly what the above individual stated, couldn't have worded it better, danged if I do, danged if I don't kinda thing... pump work will be done I the off season

Right now my budget is around $6000, finding out fast that doesn't last long! between charger, sticks, fuel pump, buying a trans, clutch, and rear end, now trying to squeeze gears into the equation... don't know how you guys do it

Depending what charger you get 5x0.018s are extremely large unless you're using a 160/175 pump for some reason. 5x0.014s or 5x0.016s are ideal, remember, probably can't use water injection to cool... 4.88's are popular with 33" tires. As far as tires go, best bet is to do some ground work and see what works and lasts in your area. While a WS "cheetah" may be sweet, they are not as durable as an S400 so choose wisely based upon your rules. As far as the clutch goes, I have faith will set you straight. If you have your head off, port match the exhaust at least, you can do it yourself with a few carbide bits and worth every minute spent. Match head to manifold, manifold to turbo.

$6000 isn't terrible... Not going to get everything you want but doable. A good place to check is the classifieds. You can pick up used or new things you need on the cheap/reduced prices.

$750 gears/work
$750 injectors/DVS
$1500 turbo/T3-T4 plate
$1500 clutch
$1200 tires
$300 misc

And if you're needing to buy a NV4500 and D80 with that budget you are up a creek haha.

S400SX Series

S464 for 579 bucks
Add another 190 for the .90 if you need a tighter housing

I know they aren't site sponsors but the prices are sweet

But is a 464 2.5 legal? If it is a true 64mm, that works out to 2.51".

I'm pretty sure 2.5 is something like 63.5xxxx but someone on here was saying that even a box stock s463 s363 has too loose of a tolerance from the factory and wouldn't pass the plug rule.

Update on this...

Got a year 2000 DHD transfer case out of a gas truck coming with the different mainshaft to swap to nv 4500

Weston injectors ordered

Still waiting on an answer for the clutch, trying to find out if I need the sintered iron disk or not, or if just the ceramic is sufficient?

D80 spool; will be buying gears for front and rear soon

Box charger S464 .9 AR ; run an adapter plate for now until I can get a t4 manifold

FASS 200 pump

Looks like I might be diving into the valvetrain...

Any other thoughts or contributions are appreciated! Thanks to everyone who has helped so far... more to come!

i did go with the sintered iron disk from valair... i went with NMU70NV45DDB is the part number...

another question for you guys...
i called FASS earlier today and their lift pump options for 12v aren't very robust, they only offer a 125gph and a 220gph (titanium series).... $110 dollar price difference... they said the 125gph is good to 700hp but i'm not convinced...
