Need help in Louisianna??

I've got a buddy broke down in Hammond Louisiana do you know of any shops in the area, his truck is over heating I put a head gasket on it 3 months ago it is a 6.7 but it has all been deleted he says it will over heat in like 3 or 4 miles of just driving when he pulls over it cools right down does not sound to me like it's another head gasket just by the way it's acting any help would be great.. Thanks TJ 573-202-9999*call or text..

Did you use a cummins MLS gasket and machine head when you did the job? Head bolts or head studs? And us the radiator clean of debris? Fan working? T-stat new?

There is a shop that just opened last year in Hammond.

The temp fluctuation and running hot is due to the lack of coolant. Air in the system will make the gauge go nuts and make the heater blow cold as well. If it has the egr cooler deleted i would be willing to bet the head gasket is going to be the issue again. Is it filling the recovery bottle?

May be lucky and it just has a slow coolant leak that has finally made it low enough to make steam.
