Had a mechanic tell me to change the pickup and make sure everything has a ground going to it. He's worked on Dodges and Fords most of his career. This thing does some of the weirdest things I've seen. Sometimes you can turn the key on and the tach will jump around all over the place. I hate computers on vehicles!!
