The place you originally listed is the one in Florida. They go by Car computer exchange, Solo PCMS, all computer resources and a few more names. I can't give any positive feedback on them because they didn't work out for me. You may have a different experience though. They operate out of Davies, Fl. and Miami Fl. I do think they are a fairly large outfit. They just couldn't get mine functioning properly and refused to give me any warranty on the ecu I bought from them because I wouldn't send in my ecu as a core until they got it right. I kept exchanging the ecu they sent me only to find it didn't work, then re installed mine to keep driving while they kept trying to fix theirs. The time frame went past their 14 day core charge time frame and they refused to warranty the ecu they provided and I paid for. That is actually one of the ecus I sent to Mark as a core.

Everything worked as factory stock, the truck was nicer than most with 100k miles. Said he had an injector line crack on him but changed to a different brand and has been total reliable. Don't remember asking about the cruise control but otherwise if you jumped in it and hit the key you couldn't tell the difference. I'd bet it would do everything better than it does now and run in the 12's.
I'm not jumping on you, but I thought very hard about this swap and just had a very hard time justifying the cost to do so on a 15 year old truck that is probably only worth $10-12K at most. What does it cost to do the swap, if you nothing to but a vp truck to start with?

It was some years back since I've seen him, best I remember he bought core 12v engine out of a ups truck without the pump for all the front cover parts for $500. Bought a used 160hp pump, I think I found for him on here for $400. The injector lines were about the most expensive single part. He even ran it for a year with the stock vp injectors.

There was something he had to do for the cam sensor pickup, I can't remember exactly. I just sent him a text and asked.

Jesnic7, they, ACE, like Flagship One are a pass through dealer.
They bring in ECMs from different sources, bench them, flash as needed, then re-ship them with a warranty.
I have sold numerous ECMs to FlagShip One in the last year or so and I know for a fact that he WILL NOT buy anything that is truly a core, as I have tried to sell him ones I knew had hard part (bad driver, etc.) issues, yet still communicates and he flatly refuses to do so.

I have also sold to another outfit out of Florida for a bit and the same deal, they claim to know what they are doing, but the truth of it is they are just gambling on the same used parts that I and salvage yards sell.

A truly committed ecm "rebuilder" will not refuse a core that still communicates with a scanner, because they are usually still an easy fix.

Mark.

I was going to say FlagShip 1, but looking at their feedback on EBay, I'm not so sure.
Maybe in your case the more local choice would be better, then at least you can light a fire under them.

Either way, the truth of the matter is the ECMs these 2 places sell are used parts, which they hope will last a long time and they won't have to exchange out too often.

Mark.

Gary,

There is also a place down in South FL (West Palm Beach area I believe) that we have used a couple times for a ECM and PCM repair. They do same day service IIRC. Overnight yours there, they fix it, and overnight it back.

My buddy did a P-Pump swap on his 2002. Everything works like factory. It does take some work to get it in, but in the end run you have a very reliable engine. The one down fall is the injector lines do like to break so you need to carry a spare set.

Too much invested in the hrvp and when it's running it's a beautiful thing to drive. My new inj combo kicks ass. Newer trucks are worse. At least I understand this pos
