which part? The one where Allan thinks you have to drive staring at a gauge for maximum BSFC’s? Or the fact most trucks built after 2006 have a fuel mileage indicator built in the dash display along with a boost gauge unless you have a fleet spec special.

If you need that chit to make money your doing it wrong. If you need 7+mpg to be profitable gtfo.

If you need a scan gauge to tell you you drive like an azzhole the gauge isn’t going to help. Like fat guys need a bathroom scale to let them know they’re fat.

I have two VERY important questions.

1) faulkner, do you have video of your tame little rig on a dyno?

2) Do you ELD guys get allowed bathroom breaks or did you have to get larger pissbottles?

Nah, video is top secret and pretty underwhelming since it didn't even fully fuel before it tried to pogo stick off of the rollers.

Black marks in the skreetz would also be sufficient.

I know it’s no Volvo dream truck so I hope it’s still welcome in here, but finally got around to getting my sleeper/fuel tank fixed from the wrecker backing into it a month or so ago.

$1000, can get it cheaper other places I’ve heard but here the head gets Metalax stress relieved and the deck is checked for flatness.

I came out of pocket about $1500. Called every junk yard i could find looking for a used/good fuel tank to match. Cheapest i could find in Tx was $900. I could only find 3 in the state. Then had to take it to get it fixed to draw from the bottom (87 model)
