DLC coated bearings mismatch

Alright I got some dlc coated bearings from spence on here. I have all rod and main bearings except the thrust bearing.

Now my question is should a run just my rod bearings? Short block already has clevite mains installed so should I just leave them or run the all the coated ones with the clevite thrust?

Thanks for any help, Jake

Check the clearance with coated bearings. Sorry, can't answer your question but when I did mine they were too tight and needed to be honed.

Dlc can only be applied to metal surface. Not a jurnal bearing surface. You don't have dlc coated jurnal bearings.

You can get them coated but its a different coating all together.

Sorry I was told it was a coating like dlc so that's what I put on the title. I think people would understand that I have coated bearings. On the bright side I know how to spell journal
