New motor KDP probs.

I bought a Cummins 12v out of a FORD Coca-Cola truck with a 190 p-pump last week. It had core written on it on my parts mans shop in the corner. I asked him if he knew what was wrong with it and he said he did not know. So, I said I'd give him $200 for it and to my surprise he said SOLD. So, I pressure clean the 2" of grease off it last weekend. I pulled the harmonic balancer off and the front cover and IMMEDIATELY see the dowel pin missing. Then I hear it hit the floor and it has bee severely ground down. But, the teeth on the gears seem untouched? It came to rest between the big gear in the center and the small gear to the right. I am already going to tear the motor down. But, I am wondering if there is anything specific I should be looking for while doing the re-build? The motor seems to have good compression. Just not sure where to go from here regarding the re-build.

Id check to see if the oil pump is split in half, and if any push tubes are bent.
