when I wasn't breaking things
Put the 540 to put into my 72 Dart
I think the Cummins is killing the springs
I even added another leaf at the bottom of the stack( which is a flat leaf, from the front spring of a 4 wheel drive)
am looking into Caltrac, Have them on the 72 dart
just not sure about running a mono spring, like the dart

I'm not sure why the Satellite, is doing it now.
back then, I was also using a trans brake
going to put the go pro under there to see.
looks like I need new springs
I have the same type of springs, on my white Dart
It never raises the rear, even when leaving the line. > 1.46 60ft

I think your pinion angle is way off, like in the wrong direction that rise in the rear while staging is not a good thing. I'd look into doing ladder bars or a simple 4 link, if your going to stay with leafs, maybe look into a soft drag set and pay close attention to getting pinion angle right. Start with say 3 to 5 degrees DOWN

latest report:
made some crazy long spring clamps>>>lol
installed a smaller tire MT325 x 50-15
installed a tach > Stalls at 1100 rpm
I don't know if the tack is correct rpm, though, the convertor being out of a Airport Tug seems correct.
I think I'll swap convertor after I get the injectors sorted out
Max rpm at the strip shows 3500
new time:
8.8231
60 ft 1.8782
76.94 mph
Next is to pull an injector
see what they are
A friend sold them to me, at the time didn't look at the #'s

I'd go 5x18s or 6x16s if you can handle some idle haze

Let us know what you go with......400+rwhp isn't too hard esp. with w/m or bottle. Should make that sucker go pretty good!!
