Leveling with smaller rear blocks?

I got a 94 4x4 2500, and i'm wanting to level the truck out by lowering the back by 2"'s. Has anyone else done this? would it be possible just to chop the rear blocks (which are like 5" or so) and still keep the bump stops on them? Would i be ok just to get some smaller blocks that don't have the little wings on them?

Find a local 4x4 shop, they can usually get you headed in the right direction. I wanted to do this too but I still hook to a trailer, and I don't want it to look way squatted.

I have cut down a set of stock blocks for a buddies truck but you end up having to cut the stop off the block if you want to go to a 3" block. You also have to drill a new hole to locate the spring center pin. Then you will need shorter U-bolts as well.

I made a set for my puller. I made them out of aluminum blocks. Worked great. I used a bridgeport and milled them down and drilled a hole through them and counter sunk a allen headed bolt in it.

If you don't go off road and drive like an old lady getting a new block will work. If you go off road you will need to weld up some brackets to extend your bump stops 2" so they hit your axle tubes
