Will having a Speedo off effect shifting or no?

I have been wondering the same thing. With a rh I think not, must be governor pressure related. Seems to be 50 or so actual mph with either speedo gear- depending on how the pot switch is adjusted. I am adding a manual over drive switch so I can delay the 3-4 switch even later by leaving od turned off and manually engaging it .
