Good seeing ya buddy! Can't wait until you're ready to take on all those turbo and blower trucks in a 4x4

I like that idea.

Black truck? I am sure there are plenty AWD imports that weigh 2500lb that are faster...ahh...you meant trucks.

I don't think the power steering pump or the A/C take nearly the HP that a modified CP3 does. A stock CP3 is using 9hp. An OEM A/C compressor uses 3-5hp. I had a 4.0l Jeep without a spring tensioner, which is exactly why I tried without one on the first go around.

Lavon runs -20 in the race truck. Those were -16 on the s10.

That's a good plan. Don't add the weight if it's not an issue with this setup.

Do me a favor and check the CP3 pulley nut after 5 passes. Curious if that was caused by our burnout method or if it was harmonics without the tensioner.

Your experience trumps my theory, so we might get proactive and get something done before we head out. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.

Why is it that screw blowers only have 1 tensioner and they appear to be a fixed mount as well? A blower takes way more power to drive then a cp3. I'm guessing the ribbed belt on the blower has something to do with it?

I watched that wagler video and was thinking the same thing. I also watched an engine dyno video (high hp) that used a stock cummins tensioner, and it moved very little.

You are not kidding.
I've seen so many hot rod diesels that I've kinda become numb to them.
This one gets me excited. Should I talk to my doctor to see if my heart is healthy enough for this thread?

I was thinking this thread was more of an drug-like truck addiction.......as a recovering hot rod diesel addict it's hard looking at these types of threads, luckily my wife monitors our money like a hawk and hides the credit cards from me so I can't max em out ordering parts lol
