They made em. Used to have one in a freightliner bucket truck at work. It was a very reliable truck which they replaced with a dt466 with heui injection....

Yes just like the 5.9. They began as a 6CTA, then an ISC, now QSC. Just the next series motor, C series.

what was the highest hp rating of the 6ct series engine? did they have a 480 hp version? thx, rm

The mechanical 6CT marine goes up to 480hp.

Case IH tractors used them at 295 HP IIRC, at 305 they went to a 24 valve head and a pump similar to a VP44
