I've tried turning down my idle with efi live but have had no success, is there some magic to this? I've changed all the parameters but no change.

That is the anti stall feature. You need to change the calibration to an auto trans and reflash the ecm.

Won't I get a bunch of codes for the trans? There's nothing I can do to turn the anti stall off?

I'm not being a smart azz but just turn off the codes. Also I have used a auto OS with a manual and it is nearly un drivable. It will stall almost every time you take off. I have not looked that closely from a manual OS to an auto but I would imagine the pulse and pilot are a bit different in the top left corner (low cmd low rail pressure). You might be able to see results playing there if you want to stay with a manual OS.

I have a os from a manual that has the auto tables in it truck never acted funny
