Kinda hard to get the RPM up with the gear he has. A set of 4.88's with some 35" tires would be perfect. 4.10's and stock size tires is a little to much gear. Though it did help him on the traction.

Well we counted it up last night and I placed 12th out of 28 trucks in the street class. Not bad for my first time out.

Hitch was at 26 inches. I would like to try one hook at 30 to see what happens.

And yes dale that was weight up front....lol Had 1100 out back and 300 on the front.

I was doing some thinking about the gear ratio I think you might need 5.13 if all the tracks have the bite like the one the other nite.I know I have tomuch sitting around time to think about stuff. But your going to gain some more HP when you do some more tuneing.there I go again thinking.

we are going to slide the fuel plate back a bit and try it again this weekend. Though Saturday we are pulling with a dead wieght sled so there is no telling whats going to happen. Sunday we will be back hooked to Corbins high speed sled that we used at the memorial pull. Though I don't think either track this weekend will hook as hard as the one at the memorial pull. Also I'm going to get behind the wheel of it atleast once to see what I can do with it. Call it a "Good Driver" Mod, lol. J/K

Have the govenor max out will help alot when a driver that don't own the truck drives he or she euually does better because they aren't afraid of getting the RPM up In your case running the gasser 2wd your not afraid of high RPM,s It's still going to come out and hook.Your going to take the weight off the front aren't you. With that old school sled you are deffentlly going to have to come out balls to the wall

oh yea. all wieght on the ass, 4500+ rpm, though I'll have to go by sound after 4K. Stock tach only goes to 4K. Then it will be balls to the walls!!!

----- Ihave some perkasets here for Lynn so he will be mellowed out when you have his baby begging for mercy

Good luck this week end
after my daughter and my son turned 16 I lost all driving privleges on my minirod when my daughter won the Mo.state fair by almost 20 feet she didn't even ask how she did she only ask did you hear how high she reved id I hit the recall that 500ci alco,Inj.chevy hit 9200 rpm after that I took the tack off. My son could drive alittle better he could feel the it hook up before he nailed it.
