I am away at school right now and probably will not get home for a pull at the buck all season. Will you be posting videos through out the season?

For the modified street more than likely. As of now we plan on being there for all of the hooks.

Was about the same in the " street stock" class they run. Driveshafts everywhere.

The thing that got me was the mods ran after intermission ... the track crew should have drug the track during this time to get rid of all the ruts from drag racing and the first two rounds of pulling.

I think they made the track that way on purpose. Think about it. All the spectators that were there are telling there Friends and relatives " you should have been there and seen all the broken drive shafts and rear ends" This sells tickets to the next truck pull.

Very good point ... I'm not gonna lie have said that exact statement before and yes I did enjoy seeing things brake when I was up there. I really hope they do not do this on purpose to try and sell more tickets, there are other things they could change to do that. I've been to and watched many of the buck pulls and lots of times the start is very rough other times its not. This time was one the worst I have seen.

On a side note welcome to comp D

Seriously? They pack the house regardless, the weather was cold, damp, and windy. They don't purposely make a track like that. They build some of the best pulling tracks I've seen.

This is almost as crazy as the duramax guys that are still stroking their johnsons after saturday night and think they pull 350' up there is because they lighten the sled to give the dodges a chance.

It is a 15 HP Fairbanks Morse semi diesel engine.I have been going to the Buck for many years(first time in 1977 or 1978 I can't remember) and agree that Buck Motorsports Park is capable of building the premiere pulling track in the area no doubt. Maybe I am being to harsh on them. Don't want to start a war here.

as far as i know they decided to re-set the sled after the second puller in the MS. and instead of adding a little weight, or re gearing the sled... they did both. also, there was a different sled operator for the MS.

normally the winner of either of the pulling classes is going 320+. saturday night the MS that was not the case. winnner went 292'. that means that atleast 30+ feet was taken out of the pull. thats getting close to a sled setting ment for 3.0 trucks. might even be heavy for them. that coupled with the very first 10' of the track having bad ruts = carnage.

thanks for the videos travis. ive watched it twice... i was too ashamed of my pull to watch it any more than that.
