Thanks, both of the filters are a bit of a pain (need to pull battery), wanted them out of the way. Ideally would have them on the frame but thatd take twice the fuel line.

Jason, Was going to build the horn out of some mandrel bent exhaust pipe. Yeah it probably wont do a damn thing but it sure completes that side of the engine bay.

Sooterz, the build is righteous. Love it. True 70s class, you'll be embarrassing a whole bunch of overweight Communist Fails.

Oh yeah, ignore the FL peanut gallery, jasonscz is clinically overpowered, likely runs Wild Boar swamp juice rather than Scamzoilz.

Yanked the 518, got a V10 RH To build, DPC3150 coming, have a tcs input, complete gpz rebuild kit, all the goodies....

Replaced the junk dcec rear main with a genuine seal/wear sleeve. Put in a Cheapie hd flexplate & drilled new holes in frame for the crossmember.

Looking good.

New battery cables/ring terminals would ensure that shiny new starter lives a long happy life.

Thanks buddy.

It probably is time to replace cables. They last so long on a VE truck and its 1/2 crank starts.

Why do you have to make that truck so damn sexy... I still need to catch a ride in it after the pump and 475.

Also, for the starter, after swapping to a set of thicker cables, my starter cranked way faster than stock. Not sure what you're tossing on it, but oversize them. It definitely helps when it's -36F.
