vacuum pump delete?

Guys, is there a way to run the power steering pump directly off the motor without the vacuum pump being there?

Thanks

There is a part number somewhere on the interwebs. I used to have a couple power steering pumps from industrial engines that bolted directly to the vacuum pump hole. At that time somebody mentioned a part number. I will see if I can dig anything up.

Give AutoWorld in Great Falls, MT a call. They were working on building their own setup that would be a fair bit cheaper than the factory ones that fetch astronomical prices.

I just used a first gen dodge 6bt setup and gutted the vacuum pods and pushrods, drilled and tapped, plugged the holes. There is no oil feed to the 1st gen vacuum pumps.

I used this setup on my 1994 12 valve in my 97 chevy dually. I used 1st gen dodge mounts on my swap, and the 2nd gen vacuum pump/power steering was very close to my engine mounts. in order to keep the EVO solenoid, (electronic variable orifice) on the power steering pump I needed the shorter setup. There is no need for vacuum on my 97 chevy anyways.
