JD 4455 Value and dilemma

Eh, they're nice enough for what they are, just wildly overhyped by the deere fan boys. Same as HD motorcycles, nice enough for what they are, but by no means a well engineered performance machine.
I'll still be an open station guy, just plan your route accordingly to account for the wind, no different than mowing grass.
In the end, you guys will probably keep chasing after overpriced pre electronics, pre emissions stuff, and I'll just get my 1940's antiques out, and have just as big or bigger smile on my face!

That’s why I said wind shift, you can account for the wind but it doesn’t always blow constant in same direction.

Speaking of antiques, I have a Farmall M you probably need. She’s painted up and would look good in your barn. I need her out of the barn and will take that money to put towards some more green paint:poke:

I’m just kidding with you, but everyone has their preferences. I enjoy an open station with a canopy for some things like raking hay or pulling silage wagons from the field to the bagger, but for much else I enjoy the comfort of a cab. I wasn’t kidding about my M though, it’s time for somebody else to enjoy it.

I'd love to rehome the M, just bad timing for me, wife would kill me! Any pictures though? Idea on a price?

We have done hijacked this thread:doh: Your wife will only kill you once! I’ll probably be around $2k on it. It has an M and W hand clutch on it as well, it’s just missing the handle.

Back on topic……Red, what’s your thoughts on price opinions and do you have any pics of your 4455?

Thanks for the feedback guys. Tractor was acquired in 2017 for market value at the time. I didn't think we could possibly sell it for mid $40k. Talk about return on investment. Guess we better get busy with pictures and the listing.

Sold our AC 200 with straight blade on it last week for $6500. Nylon rear tires in good shape, tractor started and ran strong, no mechanical issues other than being a tank. I was surprised at the dollar it brought. Now two hours after we made a deal with the buyer, another guy called and said I'll give you $7k right now today.

We do have a 4055 to replace the 4455. A strong 105hp tractor is perfect for our needs. The 150hp is more than enough and too much most times for round baling and general field work.
