Kill switch on a VP???

jktcummins

24v GOD!!!! HAHAHA
How are y'all hooking up kill switches on a vp? I am assuming that the majority are just tapping into the engine harness and just shutting power off to the pump am I correct? If so what wire are you using?

I'll have to look up the notes on the exact wire. I know one is red/white tracer, one is ________

I know one of them is the VP power, the other is ecm power.

I would appreciate it. I lost all my notes and my computer crashed. U can use either one right just cut power off and the pump is dead?

I'm not sure, I know the VP power will kill it but it may throw codes. Seems best to kill both.

Now that I think on it, there is just a key hot wire you need to kill. It shuts all of it down.

Check tomorrow.

On the drivers side, firewall, engine harness connector

On the steel plate you will see 2 connectors, one has a white locking lever.

Find a Light green wire with a black tracer.

That is the one you need to kill it.

I taped into the fuse that runs the engine i forget what number but its the fuse block in the cab and then i grounded it out so when the brake away was pulled it just blew the fuse
