S366 Borg Warner Box Turbo vs. Bullseye

Has anyone run both the standard out of the box Borg Warner S366 and the Bullseye S366? Is the Bullseye worth the extra money?

If you haven't run both, then share you experiences on the one that you have run. I'm interested in spool characteristics since I would be ditching the stock VGT that spools very fast.

Same turbo. I assume you mean the 66/73 correct?

the out of the box charger comes with a .91 divided t4 or a .88 non divided t4.

depending on what you order from bullseye, you can get a t3 housing and race cover.

to say they are the same turbo is incorrect, they START as the same turbo, would be more correct.

Yep, 66/73 is what I'm thinking right now.

I would be looking at a divided T4 housing. I'm undecided on the size I need. I guess that's where the customization comes in with Bullseye. They make a race cover for the S300 series? Anything more you can add about the Bullseye features?

You know I have heard this many times, about tweaks and such, other than the race covers, but can anyone prove that E.D. or Bullseye actually do any of this they claim?

I'm not sayin it's not true, but would like to see a flow chart (vs.) or any other ways to prove all the claims that could just be hype

After a little more digging on online Bullseye vendors, I found that Bullseye offers more options for the turbine side. It seems that the compressor wheel is the same, but everything else has more options. You can get it with a 83mm wheel that I can't find in Borg Warner's catalog. You can also get it with a .90, 1.00, 1.10, or 1.25 A/R divided housings that I can't find as an option from Borg Warner either.

Does anyone have a picture of the S300 race cover?

I don't have no flow charts but I am sure it could be done. I mean look at precision or etc they take Garrets and modify them Sheid with there Garret/BW hybrids everyone does something.

As far as a s366 I don't think much is changed there but there is alot if other custom things once you step outside the S366.

I believe what you are referring to here is the S366XL. Be aware that this is S465. It is not an S300 series turbo we more commonly refer to here. In their turbo numbering system S3xx can refer to a S4xx turbo with t4 housing. Turbos such as S472r, S475r are basically S471sx, S471sx turbos. Of course there are options that you can pay for beyond what is offered by BW. The race cover that Bullseye casts is the most common.

Below is the vendor with this turbo I was referring to. He also has the S366XL for sale as well. The specs seem to match up with the S366 as best I can tell. I could be wrong, but let me know what you think. At the end of the day, I will probably buy it from Black's Diesel if Bullseye turns out to be worth it.

Hard to say on those two turbos. He just uses a generic picture.
If nothing else my info can go as an fyi for you.
The numbers just seem close and on that auction the S400 (S366XL) based charger is more expensive than the S300 (s366) based charger?

I would only use bullseye if you need something with a custom housing, and do your homework to make sure you can't buy the same turbo off the shelf for less money. My .

That's because it a S400 based charger. You can get a BW366 in that trim which turnsout to be = to an S400 with 83 turbine and T4 housing.

Borg Warner makes a factory performance 82mm comp wheel. Billet and Cast versions are available if you need them. They are under the KKK series line. Let us know if you need them...we carry them as well.

I'm confused about the 4.21" v-band turbine exhaust outlet. Is this the same 4" v-band outlet a t4 s400 charger employs or is this an hx40 outlet? Anyone know if anything special would have to happen regarding the oil drain or supply to work on a 12v? The wheels keep turning
