I have a valair dd 3850 sintered iron clutch in my 93 12 valve. it has about 20 hooks on it. It has been working great and not slipping. I just took the motor out to do some work to it this winter and i was looking at the clutch and the pressure plate flywheel and intermediate disk look they ve gotten very hot and are purple and blue and you can feel bumps in them. the disk look to be ok but how much of the friction material should those disk s have on them and is it normal for the flywheel and everything to look like that. i ve never worked with sintered iron before so i wasnt sure if this was acceptable or not because the clutch seems to be working fine.
