Help with Compound setup

I am building a compound setup for my 4th gen. I just got a couple questions now and will probably have more. I am currently removing EGR and what is the best way to remove the hoses to the cooler and just delete all the coolant pipes or reroute them.
I was going to build my hotside up pipe to the atmospheric turbo out of schedule 40 but now that I got it all stripped down I think schedule 40 may be too thick and can't bend it tight enough even with a ton of pie cuts. Do people use sch 10? Or 16ga?
I was also thinking of removing the coolant tank but I am just not into paying $350 for the fleece coolant tank. Any alternatives?

The egr "kits" come with a hose that just connects the hoses together. Then a block off plate for the ex manifold, then another for the throttle body.

Sched 40 works great for a hotpipe, add a pie cut or 2 if the radius isn't tight enough.
The more heat retained in the hotpipe, the better off you are.
