Rough ride with new trailer

Have a 06 dodge crew cab dually and got a new gooseneck trailer last year. Well with this new gooseneck one some roads mainly concrete the ass end of the truck wants to bounce. Thought it was the trailer so bought one those shocker hitchs for it didn't really help. Put new shocks on the truck along with air bags and no matter what psi still does it. So right now I am stumped on what to do any more. Thinking need new leaf springs on the truck it has a 160k miles on it and does a lot of heavy hauling at time. And never had this problem with the old gooseneck trailer but it was shorter it was a 20+5 with 10k tandem axles new one now is a30+5 12k tandem axles with 6inch wider spread between axles. So looking for thoughts from other that may have had this trouble cause I have been :bang trying to figure it out and don't matter how I load the trailer as to why it does it. Have used a different trailer that's little shorter with 7k tandem single wheel axles will do it some times when loaded
 
Brand new tires on trailer even had them change from 12ply to 10ply. Yes with loaded or empty

Our 30+5 does the same crap. I always figured it was from the sitting loaded 6 plus months on the junk 16.5s.. hope you post what fixes it up.
 
Have you pulled it across the scale to see what the weight loading looks like on each axle?
 
My guess is if it's doing it on mainly concrete roads is your​ rear axle on the truck and the axles on the trailer are hitting joints at the same time causing a uncontrollable bounce. The state of PA is famous for the same thing. No way I know to fix it. Maybe try a set of air bags on the truck

My 32 footer does this unloaded.
I think it has to do with the balance of the trailer, if it's light on tongue weight, it bounces like crazy and it does it with ANY truck I pull it with.
Put a couple of Cummins engines on the front of the trailer's main deck and is stops hopping.
Load a vehicle balanced on the trailer's wheels, to keep weight off the truck, and it hops, too.

Have air bags on the truck also. Kinda what I am thinking is happening but don't matter how it's loaded it does it. Even when had my ranger in front and puller in the back still does it. My thought is maybe the axles of the trailer are hitting the joints at the same time. Cause I never hear the ramps bouncing but I had some metal plates in the back the hauler and I could hear them bouncing bad

This. There is one section of concrete highway here in PA that every time I towed on it, the truck would bounce like crazy with the trailer on. First time I thought I had an issue with the truck/trailer. Went over everything and couldn't find any problems. Couldn't get it to bounce again anywhere else, and eventually figured out it only bounced like that on that highway.

There's one between the UP and Greenbay, WI too. Every time I'm on it I feel like I should stop and check out my suspension/trailer... :bang
 
Going over the Key Bridge here in Baltimore is the same way my truck bounces even without a trailer.

Thing is I can drive that road it rides the worse with just the truck empty and rides fine

Like someone previously said, if you don't have the enough tongue weight it will do this. When I haul tractors I pull them a little farther forward to put some weight on the truck to keep it loaded.

I'm not saying this is the problem, but it could be.
 
It's the spacing of your axles. My semi bounces like that if I'm hooked to a closed tandem trailer going up thru there. With a 48' flatbed with an 11' spread it's fine.

That's prob because with a shorter trailer you don't have enough weight on the truck suspension. Same as bobtailing or even pulling 53' trailers empty some bounce until they are loaded. My halfton is the same with carhauler until weight is on it. Just needs more hitch weight.

Hitch weight won't change a issue with concrete joints. The more weight on the truck the more it compresses the trucks suspension. I used to travel 81N going pulling every weekend. I've tried loading everyway to Sunday and it would still do it till I went to a longer trailer.
 
Tongue weight is definitely important, but not what was causing my issues.
