Thanks in advance!

I put one on my first gen from PA performance. They’re kind of cashy but a life time warranty. After doing some research, a good electrical shop can convert them to self exciting.

^^ He’s correct. A good alternator or starter repair shop can set you up. Or provide you with a match for what you need.

Had mine done a yr or so ago, other than the truck still occasionally thinking its overcharging, its been trouble free. I've checked with a meter while the gauge was pegged to confirm.

I have a single wire alternator on both of my trucks, I think they were $50 or $80 at carquest. They came with v-belt pulleys so I just swapped it from my stock alternator, modded the brackets some and ran the wire. Just have to make sure the belt tracks straight!

A second disconnect would work.

It'd take a big honking relay, something good for 100-200 amps, right?

You can convert a stock Cummins one on the cheap with this:

Amazon.com: IN8315-12 Volt, A-Circuit, 14.2 Vset|Denso 40/90A ER/IF Alternators|MFRENSO: Automotive

Had to dremel a bit on the cover and fit like a champ. The black on the wires after cover install is liquid rubber insulator.

I don't think the starter relay has the duty cycle for continuous use.

Sorry it took so long, the number on my alternator is Carquest 7127-1WA. I just told them I needed a one wire alternator, and that's what they gave me.
