Can anyone tell me how to get more fuel out of a 1962ish John Deere 4010? It is a non turbo and has the roosa master pump on it. Also is there anyway to bump the timing up on it? Thanks for any input

The pump body is slotted so you can twist it like a distributor to advance or retard timing. Unless you intend to run more than stock rpms leave the timing at factory specs. You can verify timing is correct by following the procedure in the operators manual which I am sure you have.
 
None of the 4020's are turbocharged from the factory. 4320's are they next model up and they are turbocharged and use the same 404 engine.
 
Oh ok seems like the few 4020s ive seen were turbocharged. Just looked on tractordata.com your right about them not being turbo.
 
The reason the 4020 timing spec was 0 deg. is because the 4020 used an auto-advance pump, whereas the 4010 pumps were fixed timing. Upgrading a 4010 to a 4020 pump makes a noticeable difference in start-ups and power. As far as turning up fuel delivery goes, that's a procedure that's too difficult to explain without pictures or video as an aid.
