Some 01's had the VAC. My dad's is one. Mine and his were built in July 01. His is a 2wd auto. Mine was an electronic. No cruise for me.

I think the wires are present for the VAC.

The difference is that the 01 and 02 manual tranny trucks had the electronic cruise while the trucks with the auto tranny had the mechanical actuator mounted under the battery tray.

That's why some 01/02 trucks have it and some don't, it depends on the style of transmission.
