Yeah that opening thru the fenderwell is pretty big and I figured that was the easiest way to get at the filter or out the top since down was not an option.
Interesting to find out those little plastic lines are speed sensors, I hope the hold up cuz they look extremely frail but guess that's where warranty comes in....
I definitely agree on the oil change at 5k. 15k is ludicrous and I wouldn't even do that to my lawn mower engine if it was something crazy like that. Especially with EGR like regcanfan said. All that soot and extra carbon deposits just thickens the oil and lowers the lubrication abilities of it. I'll even do a 3k oil change if I feel it needs it. Wasn't aware of the lifter change so I be going 3-5k miles between drains. ? Rotella T6 5w-40 year round for this truck ?
