One of my customers has retired from trucking. He has a spare 3801919 Holset for sale. It's new, and has been balanced. I told him I'd put a feeler out.

This is the same model charger we used in the old days when building compound systems on the 6B ISB and such.

2000.00 no core needed.
 
Not sure we need anymore fuel, seems to pull plenty well enough I guess.

Hard to say for sure though, put 525 miles on it and front tires are JUNKED, so need to get that fixed before we run it anymore.

I'll think that charger over, might be a bit much for an old truck

I agree. I think the drive gearing on that old gal was pretty deep too. It would be an upgrade, but you'd lose a lot of low rpm tq.
We did replace a drag link end and only eye-balled the alignment, so you'll want to get that addressed for sure.
 
Probably forgot that part. Drove good, just ate the tires off

She's gear bound about 75-78mph, so will pull about anything at those RPM LOL

I'll have to get some more after we got it lettered up like 1990 again.

It's a 1985/1986 IH 9670CO Eagle. Dad bought it brand new in 1985, and my Uncle drove it for the first half million miles or so...it was his baby. Then, he quit driving, and it had every ass that could be in the seat driving it, and ran it into the ground basically. We sold it to a customer in about 1995, and he sold it around 2000 to the Butcher you can see on the doors in the last pictures.

We looked for it in the 2008-2009 time frame, but Butcher had lost track of it. It popped up 20 miles south of us when a customer of our bought it in the summer of 2022, and after he ran it until it would barely drive anymore, he finally gave us a price.

Jeff and his guys were nice enough to take on the project and try to get it back in fighting shape, and they did a good job on the big stuff, now it just needs lots of little things. Wiring is a mess, but I got a lot of it working last summer before we finally took it on it's maiden trip to a tractor show 275 miles away LOL

My cousin, who's Dad drove it new, is in this with us, as he remembers it being brand new, and not being allowed in it with his shoes on. He's about 10 years older than my Brother and I. We'll not likely get it back to 1985 shape, but if we can get it back to 1995 shape, we'll be happy.

We found a parts truck last summer in our price range, that's probably WAY nicer than this one...and we'd swap the VIN tags, but it just wouldn't be ours. We'll get all the parts we need off it, and then sell what's left. Has all the right fairings, exhaust brackets, the right type exhaust pipes, the right wheels, etc. We'll get it!
