Anteater

I've got some interest in going from a FMVB in my 47RH to an anteater, All that's needed would be to switch Valve bodies through you guys, correct? Aside from a lockup switch? Does it control OD?

You'd need to swap to a RE case. Or, machine the electronics hole larger on the RH front case half and use a RE OD housing that supports the two-wire speed sensor. Then swap to a RE VB with late (2000+) electronics.

Yes, it controls all gears including OD as well as TCC lock up.

I appreciate it. Any idea what the measurement is on the RE Case, as opposed to the RH? Whats the price on a RE Valvebody through you guys?

The rh case is longer then the re case by a few inches.
Probably best to contact rick at firepunk for pricing. He knows the ins and outs

I have a stand alone controller in my Firepunk transmission, does the Anteater do the same thing? I'm looking at getting another 2nd gen for towing and this would save quite a bit on another stage 2 build.

Does it only work with the late style 47re and 48re's, or does it work on 12V and early 24V 47re's as well?

I know you can swap the harness, but I was just curious about the plug and play aspect.

I'm not quite sure I understand. The Firepunk standalone transmission controller is called the Anteater.

2000+ electronics are required. Specifically, the square plastic 4-pin transducer. The metal sensor has the incorrect voltage curve in it.

Joe,
I dont know what the hell I was thinking. I do in fact have an RE rather than a RH. As far as going from the FMVB to the electronically controlled one, what is pricing on this? Also, what are you guys using for gear selection from P-R-N-D?

You'll need to get with Rick@Firepunk for an accurate price quote with shipping to your location. 614-733-3744

Most of the race trucks are running an aftermarket shifter because of the reverse lockout shifter rule. The rest run the OEM shifter lever.

There's a new product out called the Porcupine for 2010+ trucks that eliminates the 68rfe transmission and enables reverse lights, the PRND display, cruise, etc.
