Interesting AWD Build....

The VTG AWD Corvette from Europe......runs a single turbo small block, Syclone drivetrain, and runs mid 8s in the quarter mile. I wonder if this type of setup would hold up in a diesel? I would think it would shave at least 500-700 pounds off of a traditional setup.....

Corvette is cool, but that Golf is FREAKIN SWEET! I've been watching videos of it for the last 5 minutes.

I wouldnt think it would hold up, unless you got rid of alot more weight. Of course 10 years ago I would have said theres no way for a awd talon/eclipse to go as fast as they do now!

That Golf, iirc, is really a Rabbit (before there ever was a Golf) and has a R32 2.9L VR6 with twin 60mm turbos. Weighs around 1900lbs.

Miss Misery. The owner/operator has posted about it on here before. Wrecked a while back IIRC

, I'd probably buy someone's junker/thrashed one and do it if I were going to. Mine is still in really nice shape aside from a dead transmission.

I think that's about the point that they do. I know someone ran in the 8's a few years ago with a RWD converted one.

Probably not, but it would be fun to try!

Here's another cheap option that's local to me:
GMC TYPHOON W/502 BB INSANE!!!!

I'm soooo tempted to buy this thing for the engine as a spare for my Vega. It appears to be a RWD clone though. I saw it once at the track a few years ago, looked pretty clean then.
