His choice to visit the dealer at all was the end of the line for him.
Getting a Dealership to admit fault is not going to happen.
Yes, while I feel for his lose.... I'm am still laughing.

Truck enters dealership with no hole in the block and leaves with one.
How is that part of it NOT their fault?
That'd be like you telling me you sold me a rustfree truck, when the bedside is rusted halfway off!
Mark.

FCA opened up a case on this, so far they've already contacted the tow truck driver. I guess he told them that there was no leaking oil on his truck bed, and he's got a dash cam that kind of shows it. It sounds like the person at FCA was interested in helping him, and all damages aside, they were not happy with the way the dealership was handling the situation.

sub'd with a comment...
When I bought my 2nd Z06, it had A LOT of engine work done due to a 3rd dropped exhaust valve (common with LS7's). The first one dropped before it ever left Bowling Green, second valve under warranty, third valve about 37,000 miles in. First owner put in a Callie's crank and rods, Harland Sharp rockers, big cam, intake, etc. when the engine was rebuilt (he somehow convinced GM to pay for all that chit). When I bought it, I assumed that the heads had been addressed, since it had failed three times and had all of this high dollar aftermarket chit in the engine, about $15,000 including machining and assembly and parts. I purchased an extended warranty through the Dealer, their warranty. Fast forward about 6k miles, catastrophic failure including a busted block. Had it towed up to the selling Dealer, they tore it down, ordered a new crate LS7 from GM, and installed it. Cost me $1100; $100 deductible and $1000 core for the old LS7 because I wanted the hard parts and the block for a display piece. The invoice was ~$38,500 for the repair; but since the Dealer sold it to me modified and sold the warranty, they picked up the whole tab (and then some). So if it was deleted when he bought it, it should legally be covered; warranty is a legal obligation by the provider to the owner, as long as the terms and conditions are met and no instances of abuse can be proven, albeit actual abuse or lack of maintenance. Additionally, he could play the ignorance card and royally phuck that Dealer for selling him a deleted truck if he wanted to.
Are you sure the warranty is through the manufacturer and not the Dealer or a third party? I'd start reviewing the warranty statement, which had to have been provided.
