I have noticed most want to stand around in the pit area yackin about this or that, which is fine but not going to work for an organized racing event. I have personally ran my feet off chasing you guys down just trying to get you into the lanes on time.
We have had very few rules and people were beachin about them, whats going to happen when we start trying to impose more rules?
If you don't think your truck is fast enough then come out and run your truck anyway (too have fun) if you don't want to be involved in the racing, fine but show up.
I think its cool that you guys are talking about this as it makes me think it's possible to have a large event in the future.
If you want to help then work on spreading the word to get more racers/spectators out to participate in the event. Spectating is fine, it shows us and the track that there is interest in what we are doing.
Now, if there is someone that wants to put up the tens of thousands of your dollars to organize an event we would be very happy to sit down with you and discuss it.
Guys, lets keep it simple, show up, race, don't race, have fun, talk ship about David, listen to Joe tell me how he ran faster 4 years ago Watch Max get his butt handed to him on the tree by me Watch David blowup yet another motor (assuming we ever see Snow White again) listen to John V. talk about his 12 second truck not making it to the track but showing up every time Hear about the adventures of Danny just getting to the track, albeit never on time Eric not being able to build boost but running 11 seconds Scott and his 11 second banana bracket truck Will in his phantom 11,000hp common rail that runs 13's etc, etc, etc....
Too all that I have offended ptptptpttttttttttttt

1 huh?
Lets set the record straight.
You blow up blocks into little pieces.
I'm still using the same block.
I bend rods and burn pistons.
And the biggest, YOURS hasn't run in decades
Bring it on big boy
BTW: I hear Snow is being resurrected. Any chance of a race soon?

I have my son on the weekends, and pick him up in Waco at 6. If I can figure out how to be both places at the same time, I am there.

Now wait a minute! This whole thread is about no bracket racing, no special class BS, line 'em up and race.
I suggest you get a cuttin torch to that aged, overweight, has been princess if you want to make a decent showing. Hell if she lost a few hundred pounds you might be able to make it to the end of the track this time.

"Street Princess", making the circle on lower Jensen Dr, Telephone Road and maybe even South Main in her younger days. Lots of street princesses and queens on those streets.

Red rolls through telephone road frequently most of the "street princess types" I see wave as I turn around for a second look, then disappear in a black smoke cloud when I realize my last $20 went to something digestible.

I hope to at least make it down there oncethis year. theres only two diesels ive seen make passes at my local track in the last 3 years here, and one was mine. I hafta trailer my truck 3hrs to Norman Oklahoma or 5 hrs to Dallas to race/watch other diesels.
I just wish i wasnt at the opposite end of the state from you guys.

Prizes are always great but I run down the track just for the fun of it. Honestly I have a snow balls chance in hell of winning most heads up races against a well built truck mainly because my truck out weighs most of the others that run down the track. But you know what it doesnt stop me from trying and making passes.
But back to what Scott was saying (hey why are you talking any way? your selling the bus. Traitor. JK I know why and I think you are making a good choice). As far as making a point system to build points over a year it would be really simple. I would start by saying that if you show up you get one point, if you race you get another point , then after that break it up into a bracket of some sort to where anyone has a chance of winning something come the end of the year. That way for those that do require the prize incentive there will be one for them. Now as far as a fair way to make a point system with brackets that everyone can fit into without too much complaining I dont have a clue. All I can think of is make the brackets broad. Put trucks that are all running within a few seconds of each other in classes together. Put the nitrous users in their own class. Trucks running 4 wheel drive in one and 2 wheel drive in another. Just some basic, broad classes that pretty much most people would be happy with. Take a vote and try to figure something out. I would love to see some ideas and would probably be able to help with some sort of prizes through my shop.

i would probably be down for the event in April at best. gotta rebuild my tranny finally after 305k miles without any internals. haha. so once i fix that up, then i should be able to put my heads, studs, and pushrods in the truck and hopefully get it tuned for these injectors already. haha. I will come lose for sure, but it will be fun. i don't care if there are points, a bracket, whatever. as long as y'all can get more ppl to get out there than y'all have had. i will spread the word as much as i can
