no downshift?

My truck wont downshift into first at stop unless i put it in neutral then back in drive. This is limp mode im guessing. I called earlier dismorning guy said maybe need resistor would have a call right back for me today. Not to be rude but i really need to use this thing. I also had to replace the new NSS in the trans with my old. new one was bad. Thanks in advance just really need to have this up and going.
