Need a hood for a Cub Cadet International (race mower)

Need a hood to fit my race mower, had it in the back of my truck and some jerk wad ripped off the hood and stole it.

Heres a pic of what it looks like.

Looks like a standard 82 series diesel hood. They are not cheap. Probably why someone stole yours. I have a friend that has a few of those hoods that would sell one but it wont be cheap like I said.

Yes the Cub Cadet 82 series gas tractor had a hole in the top near the dash for a fuel fill cap to stick through but yours appears to have the smooth flat hood on it so that would be the diesel version. Diesels filled up under the seat.

The one I posted a picture of I paid 750 for it and drove about 3 hours one way for. A good friend of mine has a very nice clean original one with a 3 point Category 0 hitch and has tractor bar tires at all four wheels with about 1000 hours on it and he is asking 3000.00

Wow. That'd be too sweet. There's a guy I work with that is crazy into cubs and just bought a diesel and I believe he is going to be parting out the tractor. He's looking for a little electric lift pump for one now and been having trouble.

WTF!?! One thing I know better than trucks is Cub Cadets. At one point I had over 350 of those 82 series tractors.

go to Ebay and search cub cadet diesel and you will see one there. It may be under cub cadet 782D also.

Yeah, already found that one but its $100 and he didn't want to pay that for a pump that basically fits in the palm of your hand.

If thats the case those hoods are cheap on Ebay. Just do a search for cub cadet 782 hood.

The hood in that link is the same one however the price is on the higher side. Ive seen them bring 15 bucks on Ebay. Any 482, 582, 682, 782, 882, 982, 1272, 1572, 1772, 1872, or 2072 hood will be the same. There are also some odd ball models like 1911 and 1811 that will also be the same. A good straight not rusted diesel hood will usually bring 100 bucks because collectors want original instead of patched hole hoods.

IH CUB CADET 782 682 982 RED HOOD LOOKS OK OK USED - eBay (item 270556543251 end time Apr-07-10 19:25:20 PDT)

CUB CADET 1282 HOOD - eBay (item 220584752027 end time Apr-12-10 19:58:57 PDT)

There a couple on Ebay that are the same as what you had and will bolt to your grille. I have a good friend that collects and has a ton of parts I could PM his number but Im not sure what his price would be.

thanks man, I had no idea what model it was or what hoods would fit. We painted it back when I was in high school and running the garden tractor pulls. We had removed the decals then.

I was looking at that first one, ill prolly go for that one if I remember to bid tomorrow.

The mower just doesnt look as cool without a hood.

Now I need to get it all painted.
