Crank question for dedicated puller

I’m building a dedicated puller still trying to decide if I wanna play in the 2.5 class for a couple seasons first or jump right into 2.6. My question is about crank machine work, do I need to have my crank machined for added bearing clearance on a high rpm engine or can I get away with the race bearings that have the extra clearance? I’m planning on having the rotating assembly balanced. Thanks everyone and happy thanksgiving

What engine are you planning on building? If having the crank balanced anyways I'd have it polished just for extra insurance.
